I'm currently attending NYIT (New York Institute of Technology - Manhattan Campus), but the money isn't worth the quality of their program and I want to transfer as soon as possible. Even with a $16,000 scholarship from the school, I still have to pay over $20,000 per year, so I'm considering transferring to a SUNY or CUNY school. Websites state that transfer students are eligible to apply for financial aid/scholarships, but I've heard from people that transfer students usually don't get a lot of scholarship money because freshmen/1st year students are prioritized. Is that true?
