Hi guys, I currently have a D in math right now. I was wondering if I should go for a C or intentionally fail the class and reake it in spring quarter for an A or B. ( I got to a CC and I want to apply to UCs and CSUs). I have a few more questions listed on the bottom.

1) Will the F look bad on my transcript if I retake the course and get passing grade?
2) On my college apps will I have to explain why I got an F?
3) Should I try for C or take the F and retake?
