I'm considering transferring out of Vandy to somewhere closer to home. I'm a freshman engineer with a 3.84 first semester, and on my midterm report I had all A's except for a B in circuits, although I tried to explain that with a letter. I have taken/am taking a good deal of upper level courses (e.g. quantum mechanics, complex analysis, multivariate analysis), and I am involved as an engineering mentor, I'm part of a senior design team, and I am vice president of my residential hall. I went to a prestigious high school and graduated with a 3.85, participating in varsity soccer, debate, math team, and some other activities I can't remember, although I finished high school as state champion in debate. I'm applying to Swarthmore, Haverford, UPenn, Cornell, MIT, and Brown. Any thoughts on my odds?
