I currently attend a CC in Maryland and i am a computer science major. My CC has an agreement with University of Maryland College Park so i'll have somekind of advantage when i apply. The problem is that UMD does not accept any credits from computer science courses taken at any previous school. I have already taken half of the required courses for my major at my cc and it's a huge waste of money because it won't even be considered. A friend suggested that i only take electives from now on and wait until i transfer to take classes for my major but i'm not sure if it's okay to do. Any other ideas on what i can do? I need all the help i can get. I feel like i'm currently throwing money that i don't have out the window.
