I don't know what to do. I'm a sophomore transferring to Central Washington University with a 3.75 GPA, but at my current school, I was charged with harassment (the police weren't involved). My best friend called me a manipulative liar on Facebook and I sent him two short messages calling him names. I didn't think the school would get involved but I was pulled into the Student Conduct office and given a half hour lecture on how horrible of a person I was and how this offense would have repercussions for me (I have to write an essay and also I'm placed on residence hall probation). I'm not exactly sure why my message was seen as harassment because the general consensus was that his was worse (even among my parents who are very mad at the school). A no contact order was placed between me and the person so I can't apologize. The lady also said that if I ever transferred, that this charge would follow me and affect my chances. When I applied to CWU, it was a specific CWU online application- not the Common App. There was no question asking me if I had ever been disciplined. I'm wondering if CWU will find out about this when I apply somehow, or if my current school will send them a letter about it, and if so, what CWU would think about such a thing. Any advice would be great because I have no clue what to do anymore.
