Transfer options?

So I had been accepted to my dream school of UNC-Chapel Hill, but I am not allowed to go as I did not qualify for the residency status and my parents aren't willing to pay the out of state fees for me to attend when we have a home there. Unfortunately, this means I'll be attending the University of Alabama Honors College on 2/3s paid scholarship, something I'm not enthused about at all. I'm trying to go into with an open mind, but I'm honestly devastated as I only applied to three colleges and it's now come back to haunt me. I have a 30 ACT and would have taken 9 AP courses with a good amount of high school extracurriculars/leadership, and I am going to try my best to finish my first semester at UA with a 4.0, but my high school gpa is pretty horrid (3.4 unweighted). I would like to apply to schools at a similar caliber to UNC that have strong poli sci programs and actually accept transfers, preferably during for the spring semester. Any ideas would be wonderful.
