Hi, I've finished my freshman year at CSU Stanislaus and planning on majoring in Computer Information Systems (under the Business Administration major). However, I found my college experience there unenjoyable to lack of opportunity and limited things to do. I have a good chunk of my ge's finished but still have more to go (same for major courses). One potential plan for me was to go to De Anza (a CC) in order to finish my requirements and be able to transfer to a different school for fall 2017. I was also planning to go to De Anza to take courses in order to boost my GPA (and I have just finished taking 2 summer courses there). UCI, Cal Poly, and USC were ones that I considered. Is this a good plan? Will going from CSU to CC look bad on my application (this is something my mom is worried about)? What are my prospects of doing this (and what happens if I don't get into the schools of my choice)? And are there other good schools that offer business admin: cis?
One last thing as well: another school I wanted to transfer to was SJSU. Instead of CIS, they offer Management Information Systems. What is the difference and is the career prospects for the major good?
Please help as I very confused and worried about what my next step should be.
