Hello, I am currently a college freshman and I am thinking about transferring to another college. I go to a school named Cedar Crest College right now but I don't like this school anymore and several conflicts have occurred which made me want to transfer.
Right now, I have 12.5 credits but I am taking 17.5 credits next semester for the spring and that would leave me with 30 credits after the end of the first year. Right now I have a 2.83 gpa because I had a C in one class, B's in two, a b+ in one and an A in another. I originally had 15.5 credits during Fall semester but I withdrew from a class because it was a class that upper class men were in and it was quite difficult.
I am staying at my current college until the end of the spring semester and I know that I will be able to get my gpa up to get a 3.3 by the end of spring semester.
I was thinking of transferring to Stony Brook University, Spelman College, Villanova University or Loyola University Maryland. Is a 3.3 gpa high enough to get into any of these schools?
At the college I currently attend, I am a senator for my class, and I am in five clubs. I also have a good amount of community service for the fall semester and I plan to get more community service hours for the spring.
My major is currently Political Science but for the spring semester, I plan to change to BioChemistry or I'll stay undecided until I'm ready to make up my mind.
For Stony Brook and the other colleges, do you need your SAT scores even though you'll have the required amount of credits to apply to that school? Also, do you need to have 30 credits completed already when applying or can you tell the school that you'll have 30 by the end of the semester?
I'm planning on taking summer classes to boost my GPA even more and to get more credits.
