I'm going to be a sophomore in college and plan on applying to transfer as a junior. My major is physics but by the time I transfer I will have only taken 2 of the required courses to major in physics at my current university & two optional courses (This is because I go to a LAC and didn't know what I wanted to major in until I feel in love with physics just last semester). Will this hurt my chances of transferring to a competitive university? Additionally if I was part of a varsity sport my first year but drop it my second year to pursue other interests / focus on academics will that be seen as fickle and hurt my application?
