Hello, I am a student from Lehman College studying Fine arts.
Before transferring to Lehman, I did 2 years of interior design school at FIT. Some of the art and computer classes were only 1.5 credits. This is because FIT would have declared majors from day one, so they would put us in restrictive schedule blocks. These classes I took were 3 hours long, but for some reason only 1.5 credits.
Lehman is giving me trouble transferring some of these 3 hour 1.5 credit classes. Is there anything I can do to avoid administrative stonewalling? They don't want to grant 3 credits for 1.5 I guess. Yet in my transfer evaluation a few classes did transfer, but the 1.5 remained a 1.5.
My bachelors looks like it will take at least 5 years, I just want to save time where I can. If you have any advice or suggestions I will be grateful.
