The title says it all, pretty much. If I don't get into my dream school, which is the University of Michigan, I am planning on transferring. I'll go to my state's flagship for a year to save money. The problem is that I chose a major (mechanical engineering) at my state's school when I applied that I don't really want to major in anymore. The only way into my desired program (computer science) is to select it when you apply or transfer. I could try and email the school and change it. My question is that when I apply for transfer, can I change my major to computer science at UM? As far as I know, there aren't any LSA-specific class prerequisites that I would have to take before I transfer.
