i recently graduated community college and got a few unfortunate grades. i ended up with a 2.939 gpa in liberal arts.
my issue is that im now interested in transfering to a social work program and most schools im looking into specify their minimum gpa is 3.0.
im so stressed out right now trying to understand what my next step should be. is it possible to retake a class after graduating? i have one d on my transcript due to graduation deadlines. a few people on this forum said its possible to contact your teachers to see if they would be willing to raise your grade? would colleges be more lenient if i was really close to the 3.0 cutoff and wrote a convincing essay or had great letters of recommendation?
