I'm currently a international freshman at a good d2 school both from a academic and soccer standpoint, and am looking into transferring into d1 either next year (my sophomore year) or after two years (my junior year.)
The problem I have is that I find the school I'm at doesn't fit me personally and that I believe I'm not and will not progress any further playing d2 soccer.
From a soccer standpoint I was a player at a professional club in England from 16-18 and spent a year at a good level of semi-pro before coming to the states. I was also heavily recruited by d1 schools when deciding where to commit but didn't due to financial grounds.So far this year I've got 5 honourable mentions and a player of the week in 7 game weeks, and I believe I am averaging at around a 3.1-3.2 GPA.
So do you think I should stay through my sophomore year and transfer for start of junior year or transfer during the summer and start at a new school starting sophomore year???
