I am currently enlisted in the military and will start taking classes at the local community college. Before the Military, I went to another community college in my hometown pursuing a Criminal Justice degree. I've completed one year before shipping off to boot camp. My GPA wasn't that good (2.8). I now want to pursue a degree in finance/business at the community college where I am stationed. My goal is to finished my degree while in the military and transfer to a good university by time my military contract is up. I really want to go to an ivy league or at least a target school for Investment Banking. I know that Universities don't accept people with just really good grades. I know they factor in extra curricular activities, SAT/ACT scores and so on. Do I need to take the SAT/ACT over and try to achieve a better score? Do the SAT/ACT apply to transfer students? What extra curricular activities can i partake in while in the military? Does having military experience play a factor in transferring at all?
