I've been looking around on CC for transfer threads and most of the posts I find are community college transfers that have a 4.0 gpa or so. Also, a lot of the posts are students looking at "transferring up" to higher level schools.
Does anyone have any insight on transferring to a school of similar selectivity? How difficult would it be as compared to a CC transfer (I'm transferring from a Top 10 Liberal Arts college).
Oh, and I'm looking at applying as a transfer to Claremont McKenna (and maybe Pomona). I've decided I don't want to go to school in the east coast (I don't do well with snow) and the college I'll be attending doesn't have much diversity (approaches 65-70% white)
2120 SAT with a 3.5/4.2 HS gpa... I know minority status can significantly help in freshman applications, but does it still play a factor in transfer admissions (1st generation Hispanic dual citizen)?
Thanks for any insight !
