I'm still a senior in high school, and I applied to a bunch of schools, however I am having second thoughts about my selection. I applied to a lot of schools out east (I'm from Colorado) with the prospect of playing college lacrosse, but now I don't want to play lacrosse and just want to be a student. Now I'm left with a bunch of schools I'd rather not go to. I did apply to my safety schools, which is just the public 4-year university (CU and CSMines), but I would like to go out west to schools in California, but I didn't apply out there. I was wondering what I should do if I still want to go to some of the california schools. I'm looking at Cal Poly SLO, and I don't want to be cocky, but I think I could have gotten in compared to some of my friends who got in. I know I should still give the schools I applied to a chance, but I really want to go to a school out west. Is it possible to transfer after just one semester? I was planning on just going to one of the schools for a semester and then try transferring. Is this possible? Will my credits transfer after just a semester? Will this affect my Financial Aid? Any suggestions of help is appreciated! Thanks for your help.
