I'm switching to a new school next fall, but I'm missing a few requirements to be on track to start as a junior. I can't fulfill these at my current school this spring. I'm thinking about taking a few classes over the summer at my local CC. I think I can take three (nine credits). That would really help me be on track to start as a junior, and not have to spend another full semester picking up requirements.
However, I would be enrolling at the CC with the full intention of just taking a few classes and then leaving. Is that frowned upon?
Also, would I have to notify my new school? And then would all of my classes be evaluated for transfer credit by the CC and then by the new school? Or could I just take classes at the CC and not have them evaluate anything?
I know I'll have to resolve a lot of these questions by calling the schools, but I was just wondering if there are any sort of general rules that usually come into play in this type of situation.
